Samolot szkolno-treningowy dla dwoch pilotow. W 1935 r. A.Zdaniewski opracował zmodyfikowan± odmianę samolotu PWS-16 bis, oznaczon± PWS-26. Była ona przeznaczona do treningu w strzelaniu, akrobacji oraz do bombardowania z lotu nurkowego i poziomego. Wzmocniono konstrukcję samolotu i przystosowano go do lotów odwróconych oraz zabudowano karabin maszynowy i fotokarabin, wyrzutniki bomb pod skrzydłami i okienka celownicze w spodzie kadłuba. Ponadto wprowadzono drobne ulepszenia konstrukcyjne i eksploatacyjne. Samolot otrzymał dobr± opinię z prób w IBTL w 1936 r. W tym samym roku powstała pierwsza seria 20 PWS-26 z przeróbki znajduj±cych się w produkcji PWS-16 bis. W latach 1937-1939 zbudowano następnych 300 PWS-26.
PWS 26 is a Polish, single-engine, training and training aircraft in a mixed biplane structure from the World War II period.
