DISCONTINUED Arma Hobby 73003 PZL P.6 Prototype Pro-set

The PZL P.6 (or PZL P-6) was a prototype Polish high-wing fighter from the interwar period. The machine first flew in 1930, but never entered production. The drive was provided by a single engine Gnome-Rhone Jupiter VI FH with a power of 450 hp. The plane was 7.16 meters long with a wingspan of 10.3 meters. The deck armament consisted of two 7.92 mm machine guns.

The P.6 model was developed at Państwowe Zakłady Lotnicze by Eng. Zygmunt Puławski, commissioned by the Polish Air Force. The machine was an evolutionary development of the P.1 model. It differed from its predecessor mainly in a different power unit, dimensions and slightly improved aerodynamic properties. The plane was characterized by a characteristic type of airfoil (the so-called Polish airfoil or Pulawski airfoil) developed by the constructor of the machine and later used in the PZL P.7 or P.24 machines. Despite the fact that the plane was fast and very maneuverable at the beginning of the 1930s, it did not enter production, but it became the basis for the development of the PZL P.7 aircraft.
