Orlik 033 Polish church in Porąbka

The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Porąbka (Śląskie Voivodeship) was erected in the neo-Gothic style in 1904-1907, and in 1909 an independent Roman Catholic parish was established in Porąbka. The building is made of brick, made of hewn sandstone, one-nave with a 43-meter tower at the front. From 1912 there is a four-sided clock on it. The main altar of the church was made in the Renaissance style and is older than the building in which it is located - most likely it was originally located in the church in Kęty. The side altars were made of wood in the neo-Gothic style. The so-called The post-conciliar altar was not included in the church's furnishings until 1995. In the mid-1980s, the church was enriched with stained glass windows. The church also has many valuable liturgical vessels made at the beginning of the 20th century, such as the chalice and can from 1906 or a monstrance from the same year. However, many elements from the original equipment of the temple were lost during World War II.
