Aggregat A9 is a project of a German ballistic missile from the end of World War II. It was assumed that the weight of the weapon would reach 16,260 kilograms, and its speed would reach 2,800 m / s! The design work on the A9 was of course inspired by the relatively successful use of the A4 missiles, known more widely as the V2. It was assumed that the new rocket would be able to reach targets in the United States and Canada from Germany. Interestingly, it was originally intended to use A4 missiles for this purpose, which would be transported by class 21 submarines, but the idea was finally abandoned. It is worth adding that the A9 rocket was to be controlled by the pilot until the last stage of the flight, who would in turn communicate with the submarine in the Atlantic to correct the flight route. Just before the missile hit the target, the pilot was supposed to evacuate from it. The weapon was never used in combat and it did not go beyond the design and mockup stage.
