Moskva (formerly Slava) was a Soviet and later Russian missile cruiser, laid down in 1976, launched in July 1979, and entered service in 1983. The total length of the ship is 186.4 meters, with a width of 20.8 meters. Full displacement reaches 12,400 tons and maximum speed - up to 32 knots. The cruiser's armament currently includes: one twin 130 mm cannon, 16 P-1000 Vulcan missile launchers and 8 VLS launchers for SA-N-6 (S-300F) missiles. The ship can also operate one Kamow Ka-25 or Ka-27 helicopter.

Moskva was the lead unit of a class of cruisers called Slava (other designation: Project 1164). Ships of this type were designed and built as ships intended primarily to combat surface and underwater targets, but with considerable anti-aircraft defense capabilities. They were built almost in parallel with the much larger Kirov-class cruisers, as a complement to them. A characteristic feature of these ships is that they have batteries of anti-ship missiles on the sides of the superstructure. Shortly after entering service, Sława was assigned to the Black Sea Fleet. However, due to financial problems after the collapse of the USSR, the ship remained in reserve in 1990-2000. The unit was returned to active service in 2000, becoming the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. In 2003, the ship took part in exercises in the Indian Ocean. In 2008-2009, the unit operated in the Black Sea. In 2014, Moscow was used to block the Ukrainian fleet during the occupation of Crimea by the so-called green men. The unit was sunk in 2022 during the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
