USS Porter (DD-356) was an American destroyer from the interwar period and World War II. The keel for this vessel was laid in 1933, and the launch took place in December 1935. The total length of the ship at the time of launching was 116.2 meters and a width of 11.3 meters. The displacement reached approx. 1,850 tons, and the maximum speed was approx. 35 knots. The armament at the time of launch consisted of eight 127 mm guns, eight 28 mm AA guns and eight 533 mm torpedo tubes.

USS Porter was one of 8 Porter-class destroyers. These types of ships were designed and built as large and heavily armed destroyers that would be flotilla leaders. The final shape of this class was influenced indirectly by the Japanese Fubuki destroyers. USS Porter, shortly after entering service, served in the Atlantic and took part in the ceremonies related to the coronation of George VI in St. John's in Canada. In August 1937 he was transferred to the Pacific. It departed from the port of Pearl Harbor on December 5, 1941 and thus avoided the Japanese attack on that base carried out two days later. During the first months of 1942, he performed convoy and patrol duty between Hawaii and the west coast of the USA. In October 1942, he was sent to the Solomon Islands. There, during the battle near the island of Santa Cruz, it sank on October 26, 1942.

The models are digitally printed - some adhesives can dissolve the ink!
